About Me

I work with photography, charcoal, watercolor, and pastel to explore what exists at the edges of perception. My images emerge from fog-shrouded streets, filtered light, and landscapes that refuse easy interpretation. I'm drawn to scenes where figures dissolve into atmosphere, where the boundary between presence and absence becomes uncertain.

Through slow shutter speeds and deliberate ambiguity, I create work that resists immediate understanding. These are meditations on transience, the way memory softens detail, how ordinary moments become unfamiliar when isolated from their context. There's something worth holding onto in that discomfort, in what can't quite be grasped.

My photography focuses on quiet moments and subtle details often overlooked in daily life. My atmospheric charcoal drawings and paintings explore themes of isolation and introspection, mapping empty landscapes and solitary figures. I work in both analog and digital formats, creating limited edition prints and original one-of-a-kind pieces.

After spending over two decades running my own creative business, I made the decision in 2024 to pursue what had been a lifelong dream since childhood. I am largely self-taught, developing my approach through sustained practice across multiple mediums.

The Pontevedra Gallery

After two decades of client work in design and branding, I transitioned to full-time art and opened Alex Corvin Fine Art in Pontevedra Spain’s historic center in January 2026. The space functions as both gallery and studio, where visitors can see finished work alongside pieces in progress. I show my photography alongside original drawings and paintings in charcoal, watercolor, and oil pastel.
